WORCESTER-Rose Gulanian, 87, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 surrounded by her family. Rose leaves behind her niece, Nancy M. Papazian and her longtime companion, Steven Frustaci; her nephew, David S. Papazian and his wife Gina; her grandniece, Andrea M. Giannino and a dear family member, Barbara Papazian all of Worcester. Rose also leaves her dearly loved cat that was part of the family. Rose was predeceased by her sister, Alice M. Papazian.

Rose was born in Worcester the daughter of Setrag and Mary (Farsakian) Gulanian. Rose worked for State Mutual for many years before retiring. Rose was the kindest, sweetest, gentlest person one could ever know. Rose was a member of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Our Saviour and its AVAKS. Rose was a volunteer at Memorial Hospital for 35 years. She loved to travel, casino trips, and spending time with her family. Rose was a mother to all her nieces and nephew.

Visiting hours for Rose will be held on Thursday, June 28 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm with a Dahngark service at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Rose’s funeral service will be held on Friday, June 29 at 11:00 am at Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Armenian Church of Our Saviour, 87 Salisbury St., Worcester, MA 01609.
