WORCESTER

Lawrence E. Nevalsky, 83, died Sunday, July 15th at St. Vincent Hospital. His wife of 52 years, Mary J. (Marlborough) Nevalsky predeceased him in 2007. He leaves a son Stephen T. and his wife Nancy in California; three daughters, Karen Nevalsky of Worcester, Janet Benoit and her husband Roy of Charlton and Carol Rosseland and her husband Leif of Holden. He also leaves eight grandchildren; Lauren, Jonathan, Nicole, Kevin, Eric, Maegan, Tyler and Paige.

He was born in Worcester, son of Stephen and Blanche (Czyowski) Nevalsky. He was raised in Millbury, graduated from Millbury High School and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He moved to Worcester when he married and has been a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. Lawrence owned and operated TV Maintenance in Worcester for many years.

Lawrence and Mary spent many summers camping at Winding Brook in Douglas. He was once a member of the Auburn Ten Pin Bowling League and was an avid Patriot’s fan.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 19th from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10 AM at Sacred Heart-St. Catherine of Sweden Parish, 600 Cambridge Street. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday, July 18th from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
